FAQs

Risk Assessments — FAQs

What's the difference between a Baseline and a Task Risk Assessment?

A Baseline Risk Assessment (BRA) covers the overall workplace and the general hazards present across your operations. A Task Risk Assessment (TRA) focuses on a specific activity — such as working at height, operating machinery or handling hazardous substances — and the controls needed for that task in particular.

How often do risk assessments need to be updated?

Risk assessments should be reviewed whenever workplace conditions, processes, equipment or personnel change significantly, and at minimum annually or at key operational milestones. Mygacare can schedule periodic reviews as part of an ongoing compliance package.

Who is qualified to conduct a risk assessment?

Risk assessments must be conducted by a competent person with the training and experience to identify hazards relevant to your specific workplace and operations. Mygacare's consultants are experienced across construction, manufacturing, warehousing, retail, healthcare and many other sectors.
